Our Little Man has his own language some days.  And for some reason, he calls lasagna “Basagna!”

I saw a recipe for Sour Cream Noodle Bake from The Pioneer Woman on Facebook and it LOOKED. SO. GOOD.  I am a big fan of lasagna, but it can take a lot of time and I don’t always have a lot of time.  I have not yet mastered the whole Make-Ahead-Meals process, and this recipe looked easy enough.  Her recipe is not exactly a twist of lasagna.  It uses sour cream and cheddar cheese. But it inspired me to make a couple of changes for a quick and easy lasagna style recipe.  Basagna

Granted, I only got the before pictures because I also have not mastered the art of taking food pictures before it is devoured by my family…

The thing I liked best about this, is that the sour cream actually makes it very creamy, without making it sour.  It sorta “stretches” the ricotta cheese throughout the dish.
